Well, I suppose it would be polite to introduce myself upon joining this discussion board.

I have been an admirer of all things Thorn for a long time, but only recently acquired my first Thorn. I am now convinced that she will not be my last. As a matter of fact, I have been trying to order a SoCal G/T for a while now, but I can't decide on the specs worth anything. Darn indecision!

My name is Buster Whitlock and I live in Columbia, South Carolina.

I've been admiring all of your cool Thorn guitar pics for a while now. So when Rich offered me a chance to get Thorn R/S serial number 002, I jumped at the chance. Wow - I am a Thorn owner now! It feels great! The guitar is everything a great Strat should be. Absolutely top shelf.

Anyway, I just joined the forum and can already tell that this is a great group of people. Of course, with Ron leading...

Hey all, just wanted to invite everybody to our cd release show, Friday 23 Oct, at Jammin Java in Vienna VA.

Tickets are $10 in advance and free cds are available to the first 200 paid ticketholders through the door.

I'll be playing #27 (of course) and my PRS Mira, and the guys from Coil Guitars will be there as...

Wow - lots of familiar faces here! Hi guys. Yes, I admit I joined just to enter the raffle (still need to do that, now that I think of it), since there's no other way I could afford one of Ron's masterpieces. But I see lots of friends here, so I'm glad it got me to this joint. Not as much time in my life for forums as I used to have, because my management is a slave-driver who is unhappy unless I'm making them money with a guitar in my hands - but it's nice to see you...

I'm Mike Cantrell from over at BAM. Met Thornophile and Ron at PRS forum event II many years ago. I was also in Dr. Mintzer's van trying to follow Ed to WMC and Garret Park... what a great weekend.

I am just tossing this out there. If any of you are interested in coming down and checking out the PRS Road Show, Dave Grissom will be here with PRS. Matt (GuitarGuy510) is already marking out some space on the couch at my place. THey have space for I guess 75 seats in FatSound and already 40 are taken. We are going to all hit Woody's directly after the clinic, as its directly next door to Fatsound and I would imagine many will be coming back to my place to tell...

I waited a couple of weeks before posting to see if I was going to get along with the HR jr90. Oh yea, I like it. A lot. A seriously smokin guitar.
The 10"-14" compound radius and fret size had me a bit concerned at first. The only other compound radius that I've tried is a 9-12, and that just didn't work for me. The 10-14 is very nice, however.

So, this guitar will be sticking around a while, I do believe. Glad I took the plunge!

Yes, this is last-minute to the point of crazy.... BUT! We only decided to do this about a week ago. The confirmations from all the musicians came in just a few days ago. And the tent & stage rental was confirmed just yesterday. So you're all really receiving the earliest possible notification....
