That guitar is simply AWESOME!!! I love everything about it. Incredible blue burst on a fantastic quilt top with black limba body. The neck inlay with
LED's is really great too. This is one ultra cool guitar.

Incredible workmanship...I can't get over the attention to detail and all the little touches. I can't even begin to imagine the hours and creative
energy put into this. Remarkable!

Thats just bad ass. Talk about bling. I really like what was done with the nut. The dark strips on the back o the body look pretty sweet too.

incredable. Mike Congrats big time! The limba is awesome, how it rolls up the sides, the colors, the inlay, all the addtional extra items. Friggin
amazing. If it would have taken 5 years it would have stilll been well worth the wait for this one.
Ron congrats to you for completing this one, and it is fitting to have your name on it too. |

That guitar is insane!
Even for someone that considers themselves as falling more on the less-is-more side of the spectrum, you can't help but be in awe and take your hat off for an instrument of this sort. Truly astounding. Ron can tell you that this is one of the very few that I have actually brought up repeatedly in our conversations over the last couple years. It's one whose specs i couldn't completely fathom, with everything that would be going into it. I have always had confidence that Ron would pull it off with his usual aplomb, but he really really pushed it even further than I was expecting, and my expectatiosn of Ron are ALWAYS high. He's done nothing but build them up over the last 6+ years and I don't forsee them ever falling. In the end it won't be the rare gems, or the myriad precious materials that went into it. Nor will it be the level of detail, or Pop's unfailing eye for the right piece of precious material and skill with the jeweler's saw. It won't even be the name on the headstock or the wows of the crowds that are sure to gather round where ever this guitar is present. It will undoubtedly be the experience of it's construction, the friendships formed and the discussions had, and most importantly of all it's use as a very expressive creative tool that will yield it's true value in the years to come. Trust me. A true piece of musical art to be proud of. Enjoy! -e. |

WOW what tone! What a piece of work well done. I recieved the guitar the other day and was in otter shock. I really cant put into words, and I played ti
through so many amps and the tone is out of this world. The playability os just fantastic. Here is a responce from a forum member who seen and played it
Ron Thorn has made an incredible MASTERPIECE with Mike's new guitar. Artisan Master is an huge understatement. This guitar is from another dimension, the 4th and I call it the HFS dimension and it ain't no PRS pickup. HOLY F______ S___ ! Let's start with the top. It has such an extreme 3D roll it moves from a perfect book match to looking 1/2" off as you move it. Very deep, makes you want to go for a swim. The Abalone purfling on the top and SIDE really set off the color of the top. I almost over looked the Flame Maple pickup rings due to the zebra Birdseye Maple and Ebony pickup bobbins. The BRW neck has the straightest grain I have ever seen on a neck. Neck profile is like a wide fat, EXTREMELY comfortable and one of the best necks I have ever played. Pops is blessed with skills you can't imagine. The hours it must have taken to perfectly match the inlay material I can't fathom. The fiber optics on this beauty are breath taking. Pull the tone knob and a whole new world awakens. The Bird's Eyes are amazing as well as the side markers. Each marker has a gold circle so when the fiber optics are off you still have side markers. Nice touch. All of the details wrap up the whole package in a nice little bow. Things like the tuner buttons, nut, pickup selector switch tip, the Paua on the knobs and the BRW back plates are amazing. The Darkbursts are are extremely versatile. Ran it through a Boogie Lone Star. You want a sound? It has it. It covers the Fender position 2 and 4 quack like nobodies business. Bridge pickup, Gary Moore's Loner, check. Neck pickup, Santana and Allman Brothers express, step on up. Acousticville, next stop. The LR Baggs piezo system is the icing on the cake. By far one of the most incredible guitars ever. I don't say that lightly. I have played nearly every iconic guitar models ever made such as original Gold Top and Sunburst Les Pauls, 50's Strats and Teles, '58 ES335s, original Korina Explorer, prewar Martins, and this is amongst them. This is the league that this guitar is now in. Ron and Pops, job more than well done! BTW Ron. let me know when your taking orders again I want a matching single cut hollow body. Thanks so much for the build. Mike |

There isn't anything I can say beyond what others have already said. So I'll just give you my first reaction, "..." Yes, that's me of all
people speechless.
Mike, You'll have to let Ron borrow it for next year's Winter NAMM so he can show it off. (and so I can see it as it looks like I may be in the area around that time) Or better yet, why don't you bring it in person? -Alex |

each one is awesome, besides the artistic it has the tone to go with it. I really dont think the Honeymoon will be over at all. Still mouth dropping everytime
