A straight up Artisan Deluxe with straight up looks and tone! Here you go Peter, rock it!!! Artisan Deluxe #181 Body: Mahogany Top: 5A Quilt Maple Neck: East Indian Rosewood Fretboard & Headcap: Brazilian Rosewood Pickups: WCR Darkbursts Bridge: Thorn 1-pc. Tremolo Color: Faded Sunburst Tone Report: If a rosewood neck is your poison, then I'm pretty sure this is the pickup combo to use. The Darkbursts smooth out the midrange which leaves a full and musical tone. Very pleasing to the ears. The sustain is amazing, as expected, and the versatility can't be beat. Sweet rhythm, clean cleans, and dirty grind...it's all in there. Looks Report: Classy and classic! I love it! Have fun with this badboy, Peter - I think you'll dig it too. Ron has heard me whine about that! So I am without internet at home, away from work, and can't find the nearest hotspot (Actually can't find computer in all this mess). I called Ron yesterday to check on 181 because last time I talked to Ron he was just finishing the back plate. He told me it was Launched!!!! Couldn't get better news after all the hassles we have had with our new house! I was so excited that my internet fired up today. I was telling Ron I would have to run to the library if I could not get on-line. All I can say today is WOW!!!!! And .........Thank you Ron. I could not be happier. Am I fired up. The plumber will be here in two minutes so, so I have to run. I will report out more on the details later. I will definately report out on the TONE. Thanks Ron - awesome!! -Peter

I am going to have to spend some time digging through boxes and Junk to make sure I have access to an amp! The heel inlay is my initilials "PJ" in the form of a pyramid that I came up with and Ron executed awesomely. He said he took a little artistic licence with what I had sent. I said that whatever he did I'm sure it would come out perfect, and it sure looks like it did. The thing I like about the initials are that my daughter's names both start with a "P" as well. I intend to pass this and another Thorn on to each of my daughters (eventually - meaning when pried from my cold dead fingers:D) so it will work for them too. The back plate you will have to figure out. Let me just say this is not a Shelbyville guitar! The XV signifies a 15 year anniversary for me. When I put down all things that alter my normal state of mind (which is anything but normal any way) Bascially - no Duff for this guy in what is actually over 16 years now. Very excited for the guitar to arrive. I will send out a report when she get's here. Thanks again Ron. You have been a saint with all my crazy ideas on the guitars. Happy 4th of July to all!!! Peter
