For now we are only having the .022 value made for us. This will be used on all Thorns (Artisans and Jr-90s) with P-90s or Humbuckers.
Traditional single coils (ala Fender) will receive a different cap, for now.
Tonally, this is the most "useful" cap we've heard. Through the whole range the guitar still sounds musical and guitar-like, if that makes sense.
Even with the Tone control dumped to "0" it is still a very useable setting. It doesn't totally mud-out the signal, there is just enough woman-tone to make it warm and smooth. A neck P-90, the Tone on "0" and a little gain gets the sweetest woody percussive effect that sounds amazing.

I will still match pot values for what I feel works best in each individual guitar. The Jr-90s all have a 300K Tone Pot that's a given now, but I constantly swap between 250K, 300K and 500K pots for the Tone in the Artisans. Considering some of the pots have a 20% tolerance, you can cherry pick from 200K-600K if need be.

With their polished aluminum casing and metalic label, they look as good as they sound too.

As far as aftermarket, honestly it likely won't happen. I just don't have the resources to package and ship a cap or two here and there. We had a hard enough time keeping track of the Thorn strap orders when we did those. Perhaps, in the future, if we get an assistant here at the shop we can have a proper "store" where these, Tshirts, pickups, etc can be ordered.
