Ron was there and was a most gracious host. Unfortunately for us, he had a prior committment with the significant other that he couldn't go out with us. Ron was kind enough to answer any questions we threw at him. When he found out I also build guitars, he really went above and beyond what anyone would do. He was offerring to help me in any way he could to the point of handing me a stack of 14 fretboards for free!!! Mind you, these were fretboards he said he wasn't going to use as they came from GMP when they went out of business, but really, he could have sold these on eBay or somewhere else and made something off of them. Instead he freely offered them to me for the sake of trying to help another guy out. He probably would have given me something else as well, but I felt guilty enough taking these off his hands (there are some nice pieces of wood in this stash) and really couldn't accept anything else with a good concious. Well, I guess I shouldn't say that because Ron did hook us up both with T-shirts and window stickers as well.
If anyone doubted Ron's character before, well, I'm here to say, that there is no one more genuine than he and I will do whatever I can to turn people onto his work. Also, Ron has a pretty sweet ride if I do say so myself, and he likes hockey!!!
Thanks Ron, from both of us!
Mike
