Right on man! The Rebel Yell bridge is a bit less compressed sounding and lends itself better to blues and rock than it does to hard rock and metal. The bass is tighter on the Warpig and the mids are more aggressive. To my ears the Warpig sounds like a much nicer DiMarzio Evolution minus the overly-sharp highs and lows from the ceramic magnet in the Evo.

The Nailbomb is really in-between the Rebel Yell and the Warpig. Not quite as aggressive as the warpig is but definitely hotter than the Rebel Yell. I would say the Rebel Yell set would sound excellent in an LP if you're going for that kind of vibe. It is more for a thick rock tone really, and the Nailbomb can do a little of both. I think the Nailbomb is a nice pickup for metal when you don't want something with too much bite or super-tight bass. I was tempted to grab the Warpig with a Ceramic magnet which would have even further tightened the bass and attack but I was afraid that would be too much for what I want. I have a set of Nailbomb 7's waiting to go into my Sherman 7-string so I'll let you know how those sound when she's all done! Hope that helps!
