Just over 2 weeks and counting. Wow...that was a quick year.
Alright boys and girls, consider this your official invite to the 5th annual Thorn Shindig on Sunday, January 20th, '08 here at the shop in Glendale, CA. Time...around 1:00ish until the tents blow over.
Things to do: First and foremost...see lots of old friends and meet lots of new friends!
Leon has hooked us up with a rhythm section for the live jams, I thought it worked real well last year and am hoping the same (who called out Whipping Post?!?!?). Dane and Michael are bringing the PA so the house will be a rockin'. You can scrounge around the shop, smell Brazilian Rosewood, get a lesson or two from Pops on inlay...just make yourself at home and at ease.
Things to eat: Unless anyone has a suggestion, I'm going with Georgio's Italian Restaurant again for the 5th year. Lasagna, meatballs, salads, garlic bread, penne salad..any special requests please let me know. There will be an assortment of munchies abound.
Things to drink: Sodas (Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, 7Up), iced tea, water, beer (Corona, Heineken, Coors, Coors Lite), white & red wine, hot coffee & tea. If I'm forgetting anything or any special requests - please let me know that too, either here or via email.
